Bones Exposed
White Lies
Alice's p.o.v
I woke up to my alarm and checked my phone, seeing that it's September 15th. "one more day" I whisper to myself as I get up and get ready for work. Walking over to my turntable, I throw on the new Crystal Castles record. I can't be bothered to really put effort into my appearance, so I skip hair and makeup and opt for a messy bun and the hung over look. Putting on my flannel shirt and some black jeans, I brush my teeth then grab a coffee as I leave for work. After waiting seven years for the bus, I blast my ipod and try to unmake the world before Annie, my kind of friend interrupts my thoughts.
"Morning babe!"
"Hey Ann," I grumble. Fortunately, after that she continued to read so I could sit in silence. Arriving at my stop, I wave goodbye to Annie as I commence my walk to the record shop that I work at. During lunch break, my co-worker Alin and I started talking.
"Alice, you literally never eat. Here, have half a sandwich or something."
"I'm fine Alin. I don't feel well."
"You're wasting away babe, eat please, seriously a sandwich won't kill you."
The sandwich won't, but tomorrow will.
"Fine. Ill take your dang sandwich," I say with a weary smile.
"Are you okay?"
"Im fine, just hung over."
"Are you sure? Do you want to talk or something later?"
"No thanks. I gotta go now anyways. Bye!"
I fucking hate when people say that. Like hell they really care. Fucking cunts.
After hours of dealing with pretentious and rude hipsters, I finally get to go home. After waiting for what seems like an eternity waiting for the bus, I hail a cab. Even though its an expensive trip back to my apartment, I splurge. Not like I'll need money any time soon. Getting back to my place, I check my phone. No missed calls, no texts. Everyone I know doesn't want to talk to me. Fair enough. One more day.
Austin's p.o.v
"Duuuddee im so stoked to play New York!" My band mate Aaron exclaimed, His excitement evident .
"Haha yeah man, its our first sold out show! I can't wait. One more day!"
We were about to leave for New York, our 3rd stop of the tour. It's been going great so far, although I have a feeling something will come up soon, but I don't know what. Me and the band continue to dick around a bit before packing up. It's gonna be a long trip, but worth it!
