Beast Is A Bitch

So many questions swarmed my head. Who is the baby? Did it die? Did it live? Was that how mom died? What are my parents? Am I even human? And I had no answeres to any of them. All day I sat on my bed thinking about everything, the answers were probably back in the cabinet but I just couldn't go back down there. I really wanted to keep reading my moms diary but I couldn't even look down to find were I dropped it. I was frozen like this for what felt like hours and probably was. I just stared at the wall like a mindless zombie until my belly rumbled and shook me out of it. I looked down and my eyebrows knit together in a frown, my lip jetting out the slightest. It rumbled again but I didn't feel hungry. I didn't feel anything.

I decided to get up and eat but I didn't want to go in my kitchen so I changed my pants and shirt and took the money from my jeans. .....

I walked out the house and hoped into the car. I didn't know where I was going but it sure as hell wasn't any where near that damned house. I looked at the radio. 9:22, fuck, I spent the hole day sitting there? Dinner it is then, I turned into our local dinners drive way and parked the car in the half full parking lot. I walked as fast as I could into the dinner and up to the counter

"Hey, how may I help you Juliette?" Sky asked all cheery. She was a good friend at school but we usually didn't hang out after.

"Hey sky, just one pleas." I said with a smile.

"Sure, booth?"

"Yup." She led the way to the back and I scooted over to the window.

"Here, I'll be back in a few with your?"

"Coke."

"Coke, got it." She walked off and I looked at the menu.

"Hey Juliette!" Austin said moving into the seat In front of me.

"Hey, why are you here?"

"You looked kinda lonely so me and Oli decided to sit here."

"Oli?"

"Yea, he somewhere... Oh there he is!" He walked over and sat down. I was terrified he was still going to be mad at me but he sat down next to me and hugged me.

"I am so sorry I snapped Juliette, I know you had nothing to do with it. Please forgive me?"

"I should be the one saying sorry! Is Lee ok?"

"Yea, he's fine. Why are you here? And how did you get here?"

"My dad and step mom left for the week, for a wedding in New York, and why am I here? Well that's a little harder to explaine." They looked at me waiting to explain myself, but thank god sky came over to me.

"What can I start you guys off with?"

"Hey sky, can I get some nachos?"

"Sure Austin, Juliette?"

"Nachos too." Sky looked to Oli.

"Nahh I'm alright love, ill steel from Juliette." Which made her giggle and she left after getting my drink.

"You found something?" Austin asked.

"Shhh fool! Yes, I found a lot of something's but I don't know what they mean. I found a secret passage thing, some crazy ninja shit inside and a library full of books about the supernatural, and my moms diary." Austin didn't say anything but he defiantly looked shocked and scared. He looked to Oli and they both like communicated with there eyes.

"What's going on guys?"

"Nothing, nothing umm, can we come over later so you can like maybe show us?"

"Sure." He looked to Oli again but I didn't say anything. Sky being the perfect friend/life savior she is came back with two nachos. She placed one in front of Austin and one I between Oli and I.

"You guys want anything else?"

"No, I think were good but thanks." Oli said said winking witch made sky blush like mad! Was Oli flirting? During this! Are you fucking kidding me Oli! I punched his arm and sky walked away awkwardly.

"What?" He asked all innocent.

"Don't fucking what me, you know dam well what you did, poor sky!"

"What? She's cute AND likes me, what I'm just supposed to play nice?"

"Uhh yea Oli, that's what gentle men do."

"Oh I'm such a gentlemen." Austin laughed at Olis comment and I gave him the death glare. He threw his hands up in defeat. We joked around like this for about an hour while eating our Nachos. When we finished Austin payed after a heated argument about it and we left for my house. They followed behind me since we both drove here and got to my house quicker then I wanted. We stepped out of our cars and walked up too my house. I took them to my kitchen and stopped in front of the island.

"This?" Austin asked. I just nodded my head.

"Yea, inside." I say bending down. I open the bottom cabinet and pull out all the pots and pans opening the secret door.

"I'll go first, I can see well in the dark." Oli says and no one argues. Slowly we go down into the hole and down the damp stairs. We make it to the bottom and he opens the door. I slide past him and turn on the light switch.

"I was right Oli, she's one of them." Austin says with a straight face. What's he talking about?

"I see. I just wish it wasn't true. But this does make sense, it would have been weird if her parents were just torturing teens for kicks." Oli said with dry humor.

"What are you guys talking about?" I asked. I literally have no clue and it's really bugging me. They continued like I wasn't even here.

"What are we gonna do? If there's one, there's two, then more and more. Juliette's about age, she'll be one too." Austin says.

"Yea man. We can't just abandon here like that but we should probably stay away a little." What? You better not fucking leave me!

"What the fuck are you talking about! What am I?" I asked.

"Your a hunter Juliette. Or at least you will be."

"A what? Why? What will I be hunting?"

"Us." Austin says looking at me.
