Austin's Pov

"We need to prepare. Now while we still can. There coming ok? Even the hunters are preparing for it, why do you think there training Juliette?" Oli growled at me.

"What the hell are you talking about, Juliette's training because she found out what she was and wanted to train."

"No, they want her to train. Do you really think she would have found it if they didn't want her to find it? Do you really think they would let her train if they didn't want her too? You were with me that day! You heard them arguing just like me. Everyone knows it's coming and were the only ones not doing shit about it!" He did have a point.

"Fine, fine. Well get ready. And what do you suppose we do?"

"Get everyone we can on our side. We already got three witches, my pack, you, and a hunter. She's valuable to us and if others find out a hunter is on our side, they won't be able to say no."

"She's not some pawn in our game, she's a human, she can die and get hurt!"

"So can we austin! We're not invincible, that's why we need her. You need to start talking to her again. You need to tell her and get her on our side. I know she's not a pawn, she's my friend to but if we don't get her with us, we all can die." He was so right. I hated it but we had to.

"So how do we get her on our side?" I asked but I already new.

"She already is. You just gotta get closer. I know you like her, get her to do it."

"I am not manipulating her to do what I want! That is not ok!" I yelled furious Oli would say that but I already expected it.

"That's not what I'm saying mate, tell her what's going on and that we need her. We really need her."

"Ok, fine fine. This better work syko, or I'm kicking your ass." I growled.

"If this doesn't work. Will all be dead."

Juliette's Pov

I looked around. the forest is always beautiful but I never really noticed it before. I would always just run, trying to finish as fast as I could. but today I saw all the different hues of green on a tree, or how semitrical the pedals of a flower are. And if you listen close enough, you can hear the hooves of a dear on the rocks by the stream. Beautiful. I slowed my pace just a bit so I could take in more,

It's sad really to know that all these times, I've been stomping around, not even noticing the beauty. I made a sharp turn left, heading back to the house to start a new leasson.

"Really juliette, you have been improving so much lately." josh said. I didnt believe him.

"Yea, but it doesnt feel like it, I cant even beat you in an arm wrestling competition. I suck." It's true. I feel like I haven't been getting stronger, I'm just wasting everyones time.

"You just feel this way because I used to go easy on you. when we first started, I didn't even try to pin you down or punch you, and now? i gotta train myself just to try and keep up with you! your doing better than I ever did." that part I did believe cause his technique sucks.

"I guess." I said. I walked over to the weight grab and grabbed my hundred pound weights. I started my warm up routine. "Hey, are they gonna send me to the military like you did?" I asked.

"Nope, your stay'in here with me." He smiled. Weird.

"Why?"

"Safer, keep warming up, I'll be right back." I continued to lift and throw weights around until I was loose enough to start the heavy lifting. I got on the bench and started off with a quick two hundred and added ten pounds every five sets. I was only at two-sixty when I heard my dad come down the stairs.

"Hey Juliette. I'm training you today, come to the range, I wanna see your shooting skills." I nodded and followed him over to the station. I put on my gear and hit every target without thinking.

"Good. I see josh has been teaching you well."

"Yea, but I think I could get Better if I trained with the marines, I've been loo-"

"No, your staying here. You train here where I can keep an eye on you."

"But dad!"

"No Juliette and that's final." He said sternly. " now come, were gonna hope in the ring, I wanna see your combos" and that's how the rest of my training went. Him making me show him different skills. When it was finished I grabbed my plate and went straight to my room to eat. I didn't feel like seeing anyone right now. I closed my door and started eating when my window opened.

"What carlile." I said sharply and without turning around.

"How did you know?" He said walking up to me.

"I can hear your foot steps."

"Weird." He sat down on my bed and stared at me. " you look different. Almost like you grew."

"I did. I have more muscle now since the last time you saw me. By the way how come you never say hi anymore?" I asked. He used to come to my room all the time and lately he hasn't even called.

"I'm sorry, it's my sister. That's actually why I'm here."

"What happened?" I asked. I knew he didn't like talking about her so it must be serious.
