Meet My Dedication

I hadn't heard anything from the unknown number, and I was perfectly fine with that. I had a job interview today with a middle school ten miles away from the apartment. I was too excited, and way to nervous, I might actually get to teach!
My interview was in two hours.
I started throwing all of the dress shirts and slacks I had, that would cover up my tattoos. There were clothes everywhere!
"Hey, babe... I think you missed one?" Austin came in, my blue top on his head, covering his face. I snatched it off of his head, grabbed my pencil skirt and ran into the bathroom. I decided I wasn't going to wear my plugs for the interview, just in case. I took them out and put them by the sink, put on my makeup and straightened my hair, only to put it in a ponytail. I came out of the bathroom an hour later, Austin sitting on my bed, hanging up my clothes that I threw everywhere. I spun around, waiting for his approval.
"You look great! Very professional," he winked and I sighed, sitting next to him.
"I'm really nervous. What if I don't get the job? What if I can't find work anywhere? What am I going to do?!" Austin put the hanger he had in his hand down and wrapped his long arms around me, pulling me into him.
"You're gonna be great! They'd be crazy to not hire you, Mikey."
"But I don't even look like a teacher! I have the face of a 15 year old.." I sighed and fell onto my back.
Austin just flashed his grin at me, and kissed me, "you look fine, and you're going to be late if you keep huffing about." We got up and I grabbed my bag and cell phone, and he grabbed my keys for me to my car. I walked out of my room and Austin smacked my butt, causing me to giggle.
"Can we play school teacher, later? That outfit is totally 'bad teacher' material," Austin winked at me and I smacked him on the arm before opening the front door.
"You're such a weirdo," I kissed him full on the mouth, biting his lower lip, making him moan and pout. "And I love you."
"So... is that a yes?" He wiggled his eyebrows and I just rolled my eyes.
"See ya later, Austin," I closed the door behind me and made my way to my Fiesta.


I felt like I was in high school all over again, waiting for the principal to come out to talk to me. I looked around, I couldn't remember the last time I was inside of a middle school, and the ones in California were just so much different.
They were huge.

"Miss Brier, Principal Thompson will see you now..." The blond receptionist called me over, giving me a sympathetic smile. I smiled back at her, only mine oozed confidence.

Austin's POV

Mikey still wasn't home from her interview, and the school itself got out at 4:15. At this rate, the kids would get let out before Mikey would even get home.
Everything good, babe?

I shot her a text, hoping I wasn't disturbing anything.
My phone lit up a few minutes later,
Almost!

I smiled and put my phone back into my pocket. I wanted to cook her something really special. Things were really looking up for the both of us, the band's new record was doing great, we had just finished up our tour with Bring Me The Horizon, and the European tour, Mikey was thrilled traveling Europe with me and the guys. Everyone loved having her with us, even some of the fans asked for pictures with her.
I was completely in love with this girl, and I just wanted to show her in every way possible.
I decided on Chicken Alfredo, which was her favorite. I head the door close and I finished up everything in the kitchen.
Mikey looked really upset, I grabbed a hold of her and pulled her into me.
"You didn't get the job?" I kissed her on her head, I couldn't tell if she was crying or laughing. I looked down at her. Her face was red and I realized I was an idiot for asking.
She looked up at me with a devilish grin, causing me to smile.
"You did?!" I spun her around, laughing as we both fell to the floor, her on top of me.
"I did, Principal Thompson said that they needed a new young teacher to spice things up a bit, then gave me a tour of the school. I'm right next to the music department!" I kissed her and sat up, "what smells so yummy?"
"Dinner. You hungry?"
"You know I am." She giggled and got up, pulling me up with her as we made our way to the table.
