I was all for you

When Alan took Alex outside, he walked her outside to the alley outside of the concert location.

"Hey Alex, nice to see you again."

"Aha, yea, nice to see you again Alan. I wasn't expecting, um, this." Alex said

"Expecting to see me again in general? Or me being in your best friends favorite band and you not realizing it the first time we met?" Alan asked jokingly

"I'd have to say both actually!" Alex said

"All good. Hey, so um, Alex, I have a feeling Austin and your friend Brittany-" Alex cut him off

"Beth" she corrected

"Right, I'm sorry, Beth. I have a feeling Austin will be seeing Beth quite often, so I was wondering if you wanted to go out sometime." Alan asked nervously

"Alan, that would be fantastic really, but I have a boyfriend." Alex said sadly. Alex thought to the guy she now called her boyfriend. Jason and Alex had been secretly dating for some time now, but they didn't tell anyone. And it wasn't for any good reason. It was because Jason had been hitting Alex. Alex always had bruises on her arms and legs and occasionally her face, but if nobody knew that they were dating, they wouldn't suspect that Jason had been hitting her, so they kept it a secret. The reason they made it official was because Jason promised her that he wouldn't hit her again.

"Hey, um Alex, I meant to ask, how'd you get that bruise on your stomach? It looks really bad." Alan asked. He had been talking about the bruise around Alex's ribcage. That was from Jason, but she hadn't realized that the wind outside had blew her shirt up slightly.

"Oh, Alan. I fell, um, running down the stairs." She laughed fakely

"Really?" Alan asked

"Mhmm" Alex said, holding back tears.

"Well, if you ever need any help keeping those stairs away from you, call me." Alan said, holding a piece of paper out with a number on it.

"Okay." Alex said quietly. "Well I better go."

"I'll see you around Alex." Alan said as he got a cigarette out, and put it in his mouth.
