I’ve never really considered myself lucky, ever, but tomorrow would prove to be the day that my luck would expand in every direction. Tomorrow I’d be going back to school after being absent for nearly a month due to the fact that no one in my house cared enough to take me or even help me find a ride. My best friend Justin finally got his license & a new car so from tomorrow on he’d be my ride to education.

Justin was a very lovable guy, but like all guys, and well, humans, he had his asshole days, and even on those days I always saw past it because the boy I knew and cared for would always be there for me no matter what was going on. He’d been my rock throughout middle school when my parents split up and I hit rock bottom, during my first heartbreak, and the first time I ever had surgery.

Tonight I was getting to bed early because I knew that staying up as late as I had for the past few weeks was going to affect me and all I wanted was to have a nice day tomorrow. I had already caught up with all of my homework and class work, all thanks to emails and patient teachers, and I had already laid out my stuff for tomorrow, as well as my outfit, and my lunch was already made and waiting in the fridge.

I slipped into some pajama bottoms and a tank top and slid into bed. My white comforter fell on me perfectly and I adjusted myself so I could turn on some music lightly from the iPod dock on my nightstand and then set the alarms on my phone. Justin had said he’d be here by no later than 8:30am which meant I had 30 minutes to an hour to get ready; depending on how long I wanted to sleep in. I settled back down into my pillow and peacefully drifted to sleep.
