I'm Not That Perfect
Twelve; Kiss It Better
"Austin?" I called, walking over to his bus. We'd had a day off and everyone had gone out besides Austin and I so I decided to pay him a visit. "Where the hell are you?"
"I'm in here." He called from the bathroom, door open.
"What on earth are you doing?" I asked, poking my head through the door.
Austin was holding a rag to his bloody lip, looking in the mirror. He turned to me sheepishly. "I fell."
"Must be hard not to, with those long limbs of yours. Come here." I said, taking the rag from him. "Sit down; I'll be there in a second." I got a clean rag and put a bit of antiseptic on it.
Austin was sitting at the table like I'd told him to. I sat on his knee, dabbing at his wound. "You fell, did you?"
"I'd fall more often if I knew you were going to take care of me." He said as well as he could, what with my putting pressure on his bottom lip.
"You're such a loser." I laughed, shaking my head. "Why aren't you going out tonight?"
He grinned. "'Cause I figured you wouldn't be."
"You're very forward today." I remarked.
"I'm doing my best. And my lip was hurting like hell so I decided to stay back. What about you? You're usually a party animal." He replied.
"I wanted to seduce you." I smiled.
"You're doing a pretty good job." He said.
"Really now? I'm not a very good flirter. Jack always said I should-"
"I don't really give two shits what Jack said." Austin rolled his eyes.
"Temperamental, aren't we?" I asked. "Your lip looks like it's starting to heal up."
"Kiss it better." He commanded.
I raised my eyebrows. "What's in it for me?"
"You get to kiss me. What more could you want?" He scoffed.
"Humble." I said. "Very humble."
"Please?" He asked.
I sighed, leaning forward. Austin moved his head towards mine and we met in the middle. I moved my lips against his as his hands moved down my back. He slipped his tongue into my mouth and I tangled my hands in his hair.
"Jesus." I said, pulling back and staring at him.
He laughed. "I can keep going."
"Um, I think that's okay." I blinked. "I should probably go."
"What?" Austin's eyes widened. "No, you don't have to go!"
"I probably should." I nodded.
"Look, Avery-"
"It's not you, okay? I just need to go." I said, flashing him a small smile after a moment. "I'll see you around."
