I have a Brother?
Without it.
Without my blade, I didn't know what to do. I sat and cried, tried digging my nails into my skin, but they were much too short. I screamed and yelled and sang badly. I tried to sleep, but couldn't. I did not want to go downstairs and face Austin, but eventually I had too.
"Austin, you awake still?" I tiptoed into the living room.
"Yeah," he yawned sitting up from the sofa. "I'm not going to yell at you, I'm not going to feel sorry for you either. I'm stating one thing. STOP. This isn't good for you. This hurts you physically, obviously, but also it's hurting you mentally."
"I think I'd rather have you yell at me then to get that lecture."
"Lecture? No. I just love you, Marie, and don't want you to get hurt. But since you're doing this to yourself, I can only help by talking to you. I can't just go and beat up the guy who hurt you."
"Where's my blade, Aus?"
"I threw it away, because I know it's hard to get rid of stuff like that on your own."
"Austin, leave me alone, alright. Just let me cut. It helps."
"No, it doesn't. Trust me."
"LOOK, STOP THIS TRUST ME STUFF. I DON'T TRUST YOU OR ANYONE. I just want to freaking die sometimes, because I have NO ONE." I stood up and started cursing and screaming and breaking vases and lamps and anything glass. I picked up a broken piece, dug it into my wrist, and slid it across. Beads of blood appearing.
"MARIE, Stop this crap! Sit down. NOW"
