What Daddy Doesn't Know

I awoke to the smell of breakfast. I went downstairs to see Alan and my dad trying to make breakfast. Alan was trying to cook pancakes while my dad was sizzling bacon. "Hey." I yawned, still half asleep. "KATIE!" Alan and my dad screamed when they heard me. They ran and hugged me tightly. "Gosh didn't know I was that big of a deal. So done cooking yet?" I questioned as they released me. "Almost. Go get ready as soon as your done I'm going to take you out shopping." Alan said and shoved me away gently to go get ready. I went upstairs and dressed in a plaid lose red button-up shirt with skinny jeans and decided on some white vans to put on before Alan and I leave. I went back down stairs to see Alan and my dad putting breakfast on plates. The guys were already around in the kitchen. Ally was missing though, figured that she was still asleep. I went and sat next to Alan. He handed me my plate and I started eating right away. "Well someone was hungry." Alan stated as I had already finished my plate just 5 minutes after I got it. I glared at him and muttered a shut up. He just chuckled at me. He took my plate with his to rinse and put in the dishwasher. "Go put your shoes on while I get ready." Alan said as he ran up the stairs to get ready. I went into the living room and waited for Alan as he got ready. "Ready?" Alan asked as he came downstairs 15 minutes later. "I've been ready for 15 minutes. Sometimes I wonder if your the girl in this relationship." Alan flipped his hair to the side and said in the most girlish voice I've ever heard, "Rude much? Ugh." I bust out laughing, Alan soon following me. "Alright lets get going." (LATER AT THE MALL) "Come on lets go in here, Katie." Alan told me, pointing to PINK. This is very weird Alan has never wanted to go in PINK in fact he always complained when I went in there. "Alright, I guess." I followed Alan as he lead me to the bathing suit area. He pulled out a two piece bathing suit that had an infinity sign and was black and white. "Oh, how about this one?" Alan asked me. I had to admit it was a cute bathing suit and I had only a couple. "It is cute and just my size." I said as I looked at the tag. "Lets get it then." Alan took it from me and went to go pay. (LATER WHEN LEAVING THE MALL) "Thanks Alan, for taking me shopping I had a amazing time." I thanked Alan as we left the mall. "No problem, but the day is not over yet." He sais as he put the bags in the backseat. "Where are we going now?" I asked at I buckled into Alan's car. He smirked, "Somewhere." We drove onto the highway and he parked in front of a beach. "What are we doing at the beach, Alan?" He smiled at me, "We are on a special date. Come on." He climbed out of the car and lead me to the edge of where the sand started. He pulled out a blindfold and put it over my eyes. "Alan is this really necessary?" I questioned. "Yup." He tied the blindfold and led me to what felt like a blanket on my feet. He sat me down and untied the blindfold. I felt tears start welling up in my eyes. Alan had set up a couple candles and there was a basket with a small thin flat velvet box on top of it. "Alan it is beautiful." I cried. He smiled softly at me. "Your dad set it up while we were at the mall. That is why I had you get a bathing suit and your dad and I reserved the beach." I looked around and noticed that there was no one except us here. "Alan, thank you so much." "Your welcome, Katie. Hope your hungry." (LATER ON AT THE BEACH) "Katie I love you so much." Alan spoke as we laid down on one of the towels after coming from the water. I looked up at him and spoke softly, " I love you to, Alan so so much." I leaned up and kissed him. He pulled back and reached over toward the basket that held the trash from when we ate. He got the velvet box that I had say earlier and gave it to me. "What's this?" I wondered. He smiled down at me, "Just a little something special for my love." I opened the box and saw a beautiful silver chain that had a sparkly heart. "Alan..." I whispered, amazed at the piece of jewelry in front of me. "Flip it over." I looked up at him in question, but he just motioned for me to flip the heart over. I flipped it over and encrusted on the back it read "FOREVER AND ALWAYS" I was on the verge of tears. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him deeply. I pulled back and whispered, "Thank you, Alan." He leaned down and pecked my lips. "Your very welcome my dear. I love you so much." We laid in a comfortable silence before we both were lulled in to sleep by the steady beat of the waves hitting the sand.
