The Beginning

"I'm sorry." I appologize immediately, shoving my hands into my pockets and staring at the ground.

"It's alright Austin, you didn't know that they were going to show up." Sophia laughs lightly, trying to comfort me.

"Not just that Sophia, I'm sorry for being a douche in general I suppose." I sigh looking into her eyes for a moment then looking back down.

"You're not a complete douche..." she trails off with a bit of humour hidden in her voice.

"Gee, Phia, that's great! You sure know how to make someone feel all better." I tease, gaining a stern look from her.

"Phia? Alright Aussie, if that's how you want to play this out..." she smirks.

"Once again, I'm sorry princess." I hold my hands up in defeat.

"Princess! Oh, no." Sophia laughs shaking her head.

"Oh, like you don't think you're a bit spoiled?" I laugh, "Look at you, living in New York at Juliard dating the hottest guy in the world!" I hold my arms open for emphasis.

"If I'm a princess, that must make you an arrogant son of a bi-"

"I don't find swearing attractive in a lady." I cut her off.

"Then maybe we should find you a new lady..." she mumbles, causing me to smile.

"No, I think I can put up with that mouth, just for you. And I'm sure there are many other things that mouth could do..." I smirk, making her cringe.

"Not in this life time." she shudders.

I place my hand on the small of her back, gently guiding her to the car. I open the passenger side door for her and then walk over to the driver's side. Before I get in I take one last look at the restaurant before us, and I see Oliver standing by the door staring back with his arm around Perrie. I frown at him and he smile, waving carefully before turning away.

"Let's go." I huff, getting into my car.

"Go where? Is this night over?" Sophia asks, facing me.

"Do you want it to be? I suppose we could hang around a while more?" I offer, starting the engine.

"Maybe some other time? I feel like I should hang around Kat and see what Colby's up too." she sighs.

"Home it is then." I reply pulling out of the parking lot.

"Oh, I wouldn't call my small dorm home." Sophia laughs.

"Maybe not." I laugh back, and I start down the street.
