I looked at myself in the mirror and I was thinking… Should I dress like the queen I once was, or should I be like I’ve been on tour? Just as much as I wanted to just put on some pretty dress and fix my hair… I had this feeling that something was going to happen. With a sigh I put on my jeans again, a bandeau and one of Austin’s Slipknot tees. I liked them. They were… comfy. When I got out I saw that Austin and Tino was already waiting for me and they both got small grins on their faces when they saw me.
"Let’s go and see Manhattan" Austin said.

We got down the stairs and I still had a feeling that something was going to happen. But I shook it off and took a deep breath. Tino and Austin was walking a few meters before me and I checked my phone. My mother had called and I was just about to call her back when someone just threw water over me. And it was not just a little, but a few buckets of water. I let out a loud gasp and then I got it in my mouth. It wasn’t water. When I opened my eyes I let out a loud shriek and I started to cry. My worst fear in the world had come through. I was drenched in blood. I guess pig’s blood because it was dark with bits of intestines. Austin and Tino both turned around and they just stared at me. I cried and my whole body was frozen. Trembling a little.
"What the fuck" Tino said and hurried over to me. Austin looked around but we couldn’t see anyone that was running or with buckets in their hands.
"Are you okay?" Austin asked and hurried over to me as well. I shook my head and I stared at them both while crying.
"Is it paint or… blood?" Austin asked. Tino tasted just a drop and spit it out.
"Blood, definitely" he said.

Austin helped me get the blood off and he still looked pretty surprised.
"Do you have like… enemies here?" he asked.
"Just a few… like… everyone" I sobbed and tried not to think to much about what had just covered my body.
"You’re really scared" he said.
"One of my biggest fears was… getting drenched in blood" I said and let out another sob.
"We can have a chill day at the hotel, watching movies… and then tonight we can hit some club and have fun?" he said.
"My dad owns one of the clubs, we can go there" I said and nodded.

We got to the club and they let us all in when they saw me. Some whispered when they saw me but I shrugged it off. I could care less that people thought I had been to rehab.
"I’ll go get drinks" Tino said and Aaron followed him. I dragged Austin, Alan and Phil over to a table that was always reserved for my family.
"Special treatment, I like this" Alan said with a grin.
"Well my dad owns the club" I said and laughed a little.
"Can i say I like hanging out with you…. because of that?" Alan asked.
I laughed and Tino and Aaron got back with drinks for everyone.

I came out from the toilet when Charlie appeared out of nowhere. I jumped a little and he smiled. His warm smile I once loved.
"Hey Mairin" he said and I swallowed.
"What do you want Charlie?" I asked.
"What do you say we just talk a little, for old times sake?" he asked.
I looked at him, a bit skeptical, but I couldn’t see anything that made me want to go away. I let out a small sigh. I followed him back to his table and I sat down. I saw that Tino and Austin looked at me, both a bit worried.
"You okay?" Tino signed.
"I’m just going to talk to him" I signed back. God, it felt good to be able to speak with signs. Charlie got back and he had drinks in his hands.
"Can I offer you a drink?" he asked.
