I swear to God, My intentions were gold

I woke up to the alarming ring of my favorite song bursting through the cell's speakers. Turning myself over to grab the phone reading "Today's The Day!" on the glowing screen. I turned off the alarm and checked the time. It read 10:58 am. "Wow, I really slept in today. I mumbled to myself. After crawling out of bed, I walked through the quiet apartment checking to see if my roommate, Callie had gotten out of bed yet; I saw no sign of her so I then went to check her room and find her body sprawled out over her sheets. After taking an embarrassing picture of Callie's positioning, I left to make some food.

The slamming of the cabinets and the clinking of a big bowl and spoon on the counter dragged Callie out of bed and to the kitchen, demanding me to make her some eggs and bacon. The two of us made our way to the kitchen table and started to munch while playing music from the TV speakers.
"So, Kate! How psyched are you for tonight?!" Callie practically shouts over the music.
I almost forget due to my lack of sleep from the night before.
"I can't believe I'm finally going to see them live!" I exclaimed

Callie tried to carry on a conversation with me but all I could think about was the fact that I was finally meeting my favorite band in a few hours, Of Mice & Men. I will admit, I was completely head over heels for the guitarist, Alan Ashby. I could only hope to actually talk to him there tonight!

The concert starts at 7 pm tonight but I went on to get a head start on my look for the night... Even though it was only 4 pm. I picked out my outfit weeks ago for this one night. I hopped in the shower to freshen up, wrapping a towel around my body and walking through to the bedroom to throw my clothes on. Black torn skinnies and a floral printed tank top with the Of Mice & Men logo on it. I sat on the edge of the bed and laced up my light pink vans. After noticing the time is now 5:09 pm and began to start up on straightening my long blonde hair and after, to begin the daily make up routine i had set for myself. I called Callie in to assure me that I looked good.
