The Pasts

The Dress

I went through the bus again. Abby was sitting on the sofa in the front lounge examining her nails. I glared at her and puffed hair out of my face. I pushed her to the side and looked under her. "Well, I'm not sitting on it," Abby rolled her eyes.
"You could help," I snapped.
"If we don't leave soon we'll miss the appointment,"
"I know," I sighed.
"Have you checked the bunks?"
"I checked mine and Mike's,"
"What about the others?"
"No," I shook my head. I went to the bunks and drew back everyone's curtains. I heard everyone groan. I went to Jaime's bunk and pulled his sheet off of him. He screamed and rolled over, trying to hide himself. "I've seen you in your boxers before," I told him dryly.
"What are you doing?" he asked tiredly. I lifted his mattress up, sending him rolling into the bus wall. I ignored Jaime and ran my hands on his bunk.
"Damn it," I muttered. I went to Vic's bunk and did the same. Vic jumped out of bed quickly and lay down on Mike's with him. I searched but couldn't find it. I went to Tony's bunk, him being the only one who wasn't awake. "Hey," I said softly.
"Hi, is everything okay?" Tony asked sleepily.
"Why didn't he get fucking upturned?!" Vic demanded.
"And rolled into the wall!" Jaime added.
"Tony's nice," I explained. "Me and Tony are cool,"
"So what the fuck are we?" Jaime asked.
"Assholes," I teased.
"Thanks," Tony smiled.
"What's wrong, babe?" Mike asked softly.
"So you are awake," I smirked.
"Again, what's wrong?"
"I can't find my card," I bit my lip.
"Again," he sighed. "They mailed you a new one last month,"
"It's not my fault if I loose it. And I never know where to look seeing as we've been in three different cities this past week,"
"Why do you need it?" he asked flatly.
"To get dresses for the wedding," I explained.
"Take my card," he said quickly.
"Are you sure?" I asked carefully.
"Yeah," Mike nodded. "Just don't loose it," he added.
"Thank you," I beamed. I went to his bunk. Then I crawled over Vic to reach him. Vic groaned and rolled over. He fell out of his bunk and landed in a heap on the floor. I ignored him and kissed Mike quickly on the lips. I pulled away and jumped down. "Okay, Vic?" I teased.
"Shut up," Vic muttered. I walked into the front lounge and took Mike's card out of his wallet.
"You're using his?" Abby asked.
"Yeah," I nodded.
"Let's go," she said.
"Love you!" I called to Mike.
"Love you!" I heard Vic, Jaime and Tony call in unison.
"Fuck off," I heard Mike mutter. "Love you too, Kay'!" he added. We walked outside of the bus and found a cab waiting. We got inside and Abby gave the driver the address of the dress shop. She looked at me and I looked back. I grinned and Abby giggled.
"I can't believe it," she said.
"I know," I muttered. "It all seems kind of real now we're shopping,"
"Have you called everyone?" Abby asked.
"Yeah," I nodded. "Mom has sent me the sizes of my cousin, Cassandra,"
"And that's your Aunt Ana's daughter?"
"Yeah," I said. "She's seventeen,"
"Right," Abby nodded.
"And Alan and Matty have both made a stop before they go on tour,"
"How long is tour?"
"The same as ours I think," I shrugged. "And Vivian has driven from SD with Mike's cousins just to be here,"
"Gosh," Abby muttered. "Does Mike and Vic know?"
"Of course not," I laughed. "She wanted to surprise them,"
"Or shock them,"
"Yeah," I grinned. The cab stopped outside the dress shop. I paid the driver and we got out. I saw Vivian's car parked outside and I began to get excited. Abby walked in first and pushed open the door. I went in after her.
"How may I help you?" the shop assistant asked us.
"I have an appointment. It's Kayleigh Playa,"
"Of course," the woman smiled. "The rest of your party are already here,"
"Great," Abby said.
"If you want to follow me," she said. Abby and I followed her through a long room and into another. There were arm chairs and sofas in the middle of the room with a small table holding glasses and champagne. Racks of dresses lined the walls and there were large dressing rooms at the end of the room. I saw Vivian with Mike's two cousins, Marissa and Vanessa sat on a sofa. They were talking to Matty and Alan who were sitting in arm chairs.
"Hello," I said quietly. Vivian looked up and smiled widely. She stood up and ran over to me. I grinned and she wrapped her arms around me. We hugged for a while and finally pulled away.
"Kayleigh! It's so lovely to see you!" Vivian told me.
"You too. I've missed you so much," I replied.
"Here you are, Miss," the woman said. She handed me a glass of champagne. I took a sip and smiled. "I'll leave you to get acquainted. I'll be back in a moment to help you with your dresses," she said before walking away.
"Thanks," I told her.
"I can't believe it's less than three months now. It's going so quick," Vivian said.
"I know," I laughed.
"Hi," I said turning to Marissa and Vanessa. They both smiled at me and stood up. Abby started talking to Vivian.
"Where's my hug?" I asked them and raised my eyebrows.
"I haven't seen you in ages, Kayleigh," Vanessa told me.
"I know. Sorry," I replied. I hugged Vanessa and she hugged me back. I went to Marissa and she hugged me tightly.
"I've missed you and Mike and Vic loads," she told me.
"We've missed you too. That's why we're buying you expensive dresses to make up for it," I teased.
"Thanks," they giggled.
"I hope you're not ignoring me!" Alan called. I rolled my eyes. Then I hurried over to him and flung my arms around him. I hugged Alan tightly and kissed his cheek.
"Did you bring your suit?" I asked seriously.
"Like I'd forget it," he rolled his eyes.
"Matty," I grinned. I went to him and jumped up. Matty caught me and lifted me off my feet. I hugged him for a while until he eventually set me down on my feet.
"This is so unreal," Matty laughed nervously.
"I know," I muttered.
"Are you ready to discuss what you'd like?" the shop assistant asked.
"Sure," I nodded and sat down in between Vivian and Matty on the sofa.
"Now, do you have a theme?" she asked.
"I do," I nodded. "We're having the colours black, red and white,"
"Lovely. Now as I understand it you'll be walking down with two men. Do they have their suits?"
"Yeah," I said. Matty and Alan got their suits out. They were both black and smart, with white shirts and red ties. "They're having white flowers as well," I explained.
"What we're you thinking for the bridesmaids?"
"For Marissa and Vanessa something bigger, like the classic princess dress and in white as well. But with a red sash," I explained.
"We have something along those lines," she nodded.
"And there are two older ones. But one can't be here. They're the same size. But I want long floor length and fitted and flattering. And red with a black sash,"
"Okay, we'll sort those and then move onto yours," she told me. She disappeared and came back a minute later with a selection of dresses matching my description. Marissa, Vanessa and Abby went into the dressing room and we waited. They came out and I smiled.
"I love your dresses Marissa and Vanessa," I told them.
"I agree," Vivian added. Then Vivian looked at me, waiting for me to say something.
"I hate Abby's dress too," I smiled.
"Thank God," Abby sighed.
"Do you like yours, girls?" I asked them.
"Love it," Vanessa beamed.
"And they fit?"
"Perfect," Marissa replied easily.
"Great. Okay, Abby. Take two please," I smiled. She laughed and went back into the dressing rooms while the girls changed. She came out a few more times before we found the right one. I was beautiful and flattered Abby's figure perfectly. "And if we have two of those please," I said to the woman.
"Of course," she nodded. I got up and started to browse the racks. I looked at a few dresses until one caught my eye. It was floor length and fitted to the thighs where it came out a little. It had no straps, came down a heart shape to give me cleavage. There was beading over the bodice and the lace effect of the fabric made it look somewhat vintage. It was perfect.
"This. I need to try this," I said quietly. The woman nodded and got it for me. We went into the dressing room and I took off my clothes. She helped me step into the dress and pulled it up for me. It fitted perfectly and hugged me in all the right places. She zipped and laced it up at the back. Then she opened the curtain for me. I walked out and saw everyone's reaction. They were all staring at me. Vivian had her hand to her mouth. Matty looked like he was holding back tears. I knew how he felt, I remember it when I went with him to get his suit for his wedding. Abby rushed up to me and hugged me.
"You look so fantastic!" she gasped.
"Thank you," I muttered.
"It's perfect," Vivian finally told me. I stepped up onto a small stage. There was a three way mirror and I looked at myself. I don't even look like me. I look so perfect.
"Wow, so hot," Alan breathed. I looked at him and glared playfully. Matty frowned at him then hit him across the back of the head. I laughed and looked back at myself. Matty walked up to me and took my hand. I looked at him and he reached up to kiss my cheek.
"You're so beautiful," Matty told me.
"Thank you," I gasped. "I'd like this one," I told the woman.
"Yes," she nodded. "I've discussed your special circumstances with your future mother in law and if you pay we'll have everything ready to take home today,"
"Thanks," I smiled. I went back to the dressing room and changed. I came out and found the others waiting for me. I went to the desk and used Mike's card to pay. They helped us carry the dresses to Vivian's car. Vivian, Abby and the girls got inside. I waited when I found out Matty and Alan wouldn't be coming back with us. "I probably won't see you both until after tour now," I said sadly.
"Don't worry," Alan told me. I hugged him and he squeezed me tightly.
"You'll be perfect, I promise," Matty said.
"Thanks," I told them both. I hugged Matty for a while until I pulled away.
"Bye, Kay'" they told me. I smiled and got inside the car. Matty and Alan walked away. I sat in the front with Vivian and she started to drive. I gave her directions to the bus and she pulled up next to it. We all got out with Abby and Vivian holding the dresses. I opened the door and walked inside. I saw the tour manager, Ryan in the front lounge on his laptop. He looked up and smiled.
"Have fun?" he asked casually.
"Yeah," I grinned. "Where are they?"
"Back lounge," he explained. We walked through the bunks. Abby and Vivian rested the dresses on my bunk and we opened the door of the back lounge. Inside I saw Vic and Jaime on one sofa, Tony on another and Mike sat on the floor smoking.
"Hi," they greeted me in unison.
"Did you get something good, Kay'?" Mike smiled gently.
"Yeah," I smirked.
"What?" he asked. Vivian stepped out from behind me. She looked at Mike and frowned. Vic smiled widely and got up to hug his mother. Mike looked up and dropped his cigarette. Vivian hugged Vic tightly and he kissed her cheek.
"What are you doing here, Mama?" Vic asked.
"I miss my boys," she replied.
"Hi Mom," Mike smiled.
"Why are you smoking in the bus?!" She demanded. "Knowing Kayleigh will be bringing her dress back. Do you want her to smell of smoke?"
"No,"
"Come here," Vivian said. She opened her arms and Mike stood up.
"After you've put that thing out," she warned. Mike stubbed his cigarette out. Then he went to his his mom. He kissed her head and pulled away.
"Hey," Mike smiled at me.
"Hi," I said. He opened his arms for me and I walked into them. I reached up to kiss him firmly on the lips and he kissed me back deeply.

It stands for Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified. My weight hasn't dropped to Anoriexia yet.
I'm still gutted though! Music is one of the only things that keeps me going and I couldn't be there for it. I heard about Jesse leaving :( x
What's EDNOS?

Also, honestly, Kellin isn't good live. The band is but he isn't. I guess that doesn't matter any more though since Jesse left the band yesterday.. :x
