Trying not to squeal, I ran across the parking lot into Alex’s arms. He picked me up and swung me around in a circle before placing me back on my feet where I was tackled by Jack into a huge bear hug.

“Ugh, I missed you guys!” I said as I pulled away from Jack and picked up my bag that had been carelessly dropped to the ground.

“So pumped you’re here Rae-Rae!” Jack said wrapping and arm around me a steering me towards their bus.

“How’s the tour been going?” I asked excitedly ready to catch up with them.

“It’s been fucking amazing! I mean the fans have just been going all out and loving the new album.” Alex explained with a twinkle of disbelief in his eye.

We made our way on the bus where I made myself at home throwing my bags into the same bunk I had had on Warped. I made my way back to the front lounge and got comfy on the couch as Jack threw me a bottle of Smart Water from the fridge.

“How are things with you?” Alex asked shaking the hair from his eyes and a brilliant smile on his face.
It was easy to see why girls fell so hard for these two. They were both quite the charmers.

“They’ve been great!” I said ripping open the bottle of water and taking a big sip. “I love my
apartment and my roommate! You guys will have to come out soon and meet her. An-“

“She hot?” Jack asked stuffing Dorito’s in his mouth.

“She’s pretty.” I shrugged with a laugh. “Anyway, my job’s been good. Everything’s been good.”

“How’s Austy?” Jack asked with a smirk.

“Austin’s fine.” I laughed.

“You guys together for good?” Alex asked.

“I mean, I like to think so.” I said feeling a slight blush forming on my cheeks.

The guys had a majority of the day off, so we went to lunch and got up to our usual shenanigans. We made it back just in time for sound check where I sat on a fold out chair in the pit that would be filled with sweaty bodies in a few short hours and checked my social networking sites.

“How are we sounding tonight, Raegan?” Alex’s voice boomed throughout the room. I gave him a thumbs down and a sad face making him and the guys laugh. I checked through the Austin tag on tumblr which had become a habit. I loved seeing the things his fans said about him and the funny things they made. I’d never admit it, but I liked to see what they said about me too.

There was a screenshot from Instagram that came up as I scrolled. It was a picture Jack had taken earlier of me and him splitting an ice cream and making funny faces. There was a comment below that was highlighted that brought little pricks of tears to my eyes as I read it.

“@austincarlile: hahaha miss you guys! But especially my girl, send her back soon! My house is messy and I need someone to cuddle with :(“

“Austin’s comment though…my feels!!!!” One girl had commented on the tumblr post.

“My feels too girl, my feels too.” I muttered with a laugh as I shut my laptop and smiled up at the guys on stage as Jack flipped me off.

I stood side stage for the show, dancing and singing the whole time.

“This next one’s going to be it for us tonight. Thank you all for being so fucking amazing!” Alex declared over the screaming fans. “Everyone welcome out our good friend Raegan Jones, some people think this song was named after her…this song’s called Jasey Rae!”

“Hello?” I had to block my other ear as I walked off the bus so I’d be able to hear.

“Hey, babe.” Austin’s voice greeted me, slightly raspy.

“Are you okay?” I asked suddenly feeling concerned. “You sound like you’re crying.”

“Yeah, I’m fine. I’m just really sick.” He said with a chuckle.

“Do you want me to come home?” I asked quickly.

“No! No, no. I’m fine babe. Really, I can take care of myself.”

“Are you sure, Austin? I don’t like that you’re sick.”

“Rae…I’ll be fine. I’m 25, I can handle this one. You’re cute when you’re worried though.”

“Shut up.” I said feeling slightly defensive and silly.

“Listen, I’ve got some good news! You can’t tell anyone though!”

“What is it?”

“Well, I got asked to write a monthly column for Rock Sound Magazine next year.”

“Wait, really!”

“Yeah! I don’t have all the details yet but you can’t tell anyone. Top secret stuff.”

“You’re secret is safe with me.” I giggled. “Are you still getting me from the airport?”

“Of course!”

“Mmkay.” I said with a smile. “I’ll see you then. Call me if you need me for anything. I love you.”

We got off the phone and I got back on the bus to hang out with the guys all the while wondering how I had gotten so lucky in the last few months.
