The Unexpected Meeting

Chapter Two

Alan's P.O.V.

I had enough. I was once again laying next to Corey with bruises all over my body and a few on my face. I needed to escape but where would I go? I had no one that could support me. I made my mind while I laid awake in bed. Getting out of bed as silently as I could , I walked over to the dresser, packing the small quantity of cloth that I had in a bag. By the time I was done and at the door it was already 11 o'clock. I looked around the house, one more time before walking out the door. I am free now. When my thought kicked in, I started running, far away from the house even though I didn't know where I was going. A few seconds later, I was being sent to the floor by a hard chest, which made me realized that I have bumped into someone who was strong enough to make me fall down.

"Hey, watch it!" I heard the person that I bumped into say.

"I-I'm so-sorry" I was only stuttering because I was afraid that, that person was going to hit me. When I looked up, my eyes met with his beautiful brown eyes and face. His rude voice from earlier didn't match his gorgeous face at all.

Austin's P.O.V.

I was walking around just because there was nothing else to do at home. When I felt someone ran into me the words came out of my mouth immediately without giving me the change to think. My eyes dropped to the boy who slammed into me. He was cute, his hair was weird though. It was like a ginger color. Ginger, that's how I was gonna call him. I didn't even know why I was thinking about calling him that if I didn't know if I was going to talk or see him again. But what worried me the most was the scaried look he was giving me and that dark purple bruise around his eye. I instantly regreted being rude earlier. Something snapped in me and I felt like I needed to protect him from something or someone.

"It's okay. Come on" I said while offering him my hand. He hesitated before taking it and pushing himself to get up. Even though he was standing my hand was still firmly clamp by his. When he realized it, he let go of it and dropped his gaze to the floor. There was something about him that made me want to know him better. "Going somewhere?" I asked, glancing at this bag.

"Umm.." I could tell he was debating if he could tell me or not.

"You don't have to tell me" I said with a shrug. "Want to grab a coffee or something?" His eyes met mine, once again and he nodded. I took his bag for him and we walked to the Dunkin' Donuts that was only a few blocks away. I held the door for him before walking in myself. He was looking a bit uncomfortable so I decided to introduce myself.

"Austin Carlile, by the way"

"Alan Ashby." We both ordered two Camarel Mochas and when it was ready we took a seat next to a window, watching the people pass by.

"I hope I'm not holding you from where you were going"

"Actually.. I don't know where I'm going" When the words came out of his mouth, I didn't quite believe him but when I was the embarrassing look in his eyes, I knew it was true.

Without thinking I said with a grin on my face "You can stay at my place if you want" I couldn't accept what he have said. What have I gotten myself into?
