I Can't Heal The Way I Feel About You

Death is a promise, and your life is a fucking lie

I woke up to Oli's naked body curled around mine. We stayed up well past 3am talking and fucking. It was a good thing I didn't have to go to school that day. I got up slowly and stretched, closing the curtains as I did because, yes, I did have neighbors and yes, I was positive they could see through my bedroom window. I hopped in the shower really quick and then looked for something to wear. I didn't really have anything to do that day accept for homework, so I decided on a We Came As Romans tank and a pair of yoga pants. I grabbed my bag from the floor and sat at my desk, where I began doing my work.

Oli woke up moments later, squinting at the sun, though it wasn't too bright through the curtains.
"What are we doing today?" He asked me.
"Well, I'm doing homework. I don't know what you're doing. Why don't you go to the grocery store or something? We need milk, bread, eggs, and cereal. Oh, and chocolate. Please and thank you." I smiled at him sweetly.
"Sure thing, love. What time do you think you'll be done. The guys have been writing a bit, so I thought we'd all go down to the studio to figure some things out. Would you like to come?"
"If I can actually stay motivated, I should be done with all this within three hours."
"Great. We'll go down to the studio at 2 if that's alright."
"Yeah, sure. See you later then. I love you."
Oli kissed me on the cheek and left.

I should have started my work right then, but something had been bothering me. I got out my computer and chatted Mariah and Katherine, separately though because Mariah already knew what was up.
Hey, I met a guy recently, and he and his friends wanted to meet some of my friends. Pub this Friday? Dress up. And invite fun people. I'll reserve the downstairs room of the pub.
And to Mariah I added:
Please forget what happened the other day. Please just act normal and don't tell anyone, okay?

I spent the next few hours typing up a paper and was pleased when I finally finished. Oli had arrived home with groceries around 1 and was sitting next to me on the couch with his computer finishing business stuff with the guys back at Drop Dead.
"Hey so, is it okay if we meet a few friends at the pub on Friday? The band can come as well."
"Yeah sure, darling. I'd love to meet your friends. We can go out shopping for it if you want."
"Okay." I smiled. "Thanks, babe."

We left a little while later to meet the guys at the studio. They were all there when we got there, notebooks in hand, sitting in odd positions on the studio furniture.
"Hey, you wanna ask Lights if she wants to record a part of a song for us. Need a female vocalist," Lee said when we walked in.
"Charlotte can do it," Oli replied.
"Oh, really? Great. Didn't realize she sang. We'll probably be done with this song next week if you want to come in."
I was freaking out inside. I did like to sing, but I never thought I'd actually be able to record.
"Yeah sure. Just let me know when. Also, do you guys want to come to a little party thing on Friday? It's at this pub down the street. Kinda dressy, but it should be pretty chill."
"Yeah, okay. We'll be there."

We all spent a few hours looking at what had been written so far. Lee showed me the parts I'd be singing, and I was pretty excited about it, only a little nervous. Afterwards, Oli and I went out to buy some things for Friday. While we were out, I texted Austin:
Hey, are you around? If so, party in Boston with some friends on Friday. Would love it if you could be there :)

I didn't really have any legitimate feelings for Austin anymore, but I really did like hanging out with him. I just hoped having Austin and Bring Me the Horizon there wouldn't just turn into a bunch of people fan girling over them. Austin texted back immediately.
Yeah, sure. Gimme a time and a place, and I'll be there. See you Friday ;)

"Do you like this, love?" Oli was holding up a black body con dress in front of me.
"Oooh yes, can we get it?"
"Sure. Do you need shoes?"
I had literally about 15 pairs of shoes, so I decided it'd be best if I didn't buy any more for now.
"No, I'm good. Thanks though."
We rung up the dress at the counter, and I covered the digital screen that displayed the price because I really didn't want to know how much Oli was spending on me.

Back at the apartment, while Oli and I were sitting at the table eating a lovely dinner consisting of cereal and wine, I was still a little worried about Friday.
"I don't want living here to be too stressful for you. A lot of my friends are really big fans. I know you want to meet them, but they really want to meet you. Like I'm worried they won't leave you alone."
"It'll be fine, love. We're all people. They'll get over it once we start talking."
"Also, I invited Austin. I hope that's okay."
Oli thought for a moment.
"Yeah, totally fine. Just don't go ditchin' me or anything." He laughed a bit, but it wasn't genuine.
"Ha, yeahhh." I looked down at my cereal bowl. "I have to get up kinda early for classes tomorrow, so I think I'm gonna go to bed. You can stay up and watch tv or something if you want. I have netflix on the wii. I'll see you tomorrow." I kissed his cheek and went back to the bedroom feeling frustrated.

Notes

what should happen at the party?
