Give Me Thunder, Give Me Lightin'

1/1

“Austin Carlile, give me my phone back right this second.” I shouted, trying to jump to get it. It was no use though. He towered over me like a tree and I was only 5’6. He stuck his tongue out at me then laughed.

“I hate you, Carlile.” I glared at him. I didn’t really hate him, quite the opposite actually.

“Ahh. Boohoo, baby. You love me.” He said handing me my phone back as he sat on the couch. I smiled then kissed his cheek before running towards the back of the bus. I climbed into a bunk, not caring whose bunk I was in just as long as it wasn’t occupied. I knew who’s bunk it was the second I laid down, when I saw Squidgy laying there. Austin’s bunk

We had been travelling for what felt like days when we finally rolled into the first venue of this tour. I was still clueless has who they were touring with. I wasn’t much a computer person so I was never online. Rumor has it through twitter though that they’re touring with August Burns Red. Austin wouldn’t keep that from me. He knew that August Burns Red was my favorite band.

“Carmen, we’re here.” Austin shouted from the front lounge. I jumped out of the bunk and walked through the bus to the front and saw Austin standing there.

“Hey, can I talk to you a second before we head out there?” He asked. He sounded serious so we sat on the couch and he grabbed my hand.

“What’s wrong?” I asked. He smiled.

“Nothing, I’m just telling you who we’re touring with before you see for yourself.” He said. I looked over at him.

“Who is it, Austin?” I asked.

“August Burns Red.” He said. I jumped up and screamed.
“Holy crap, are you fucking serious?” I asked. Austin stood up, smiling. He nodded.

“Yes, I’m serious. I wanted it to be a surprise because I know how much you like them.” He said. I hit him in the arm a couple of times.

“Austin, this is ABR. Shit, I can’t believe it.” I said. He laughed before pulling me into a hug. I laughed.

“Let’s go, Carmen.” Austin said before pulling on my hand towards the bus door.

I sat on the stage, swinging my feet back and forth as I waited for the crowd to get bigger. They were letting the crowd in little by little. Only a few people were in there and they were already leaning against the barricade. Austin came out on stage and few of them shouted at him. He gave them a thumb up and smiled. He sat down beside me, the nudged me.

“Carmen, you alright” He asked. I looked at him and nodded.

“Yeah, I’m okay. Why?” I asked. He shrugged.

“Just making sure everything it’s cool. You look sad when you’re favorite band is in the same building as you. “ Austin said.

“No, I’m good. I’m only thinking about stuff.” I said, smiling.

“Is it about a guy?” He asked. I smiled.

“Oh my gosh, it’s about a guy. Do I know this guy?” He squealed like a little girl. I laughed. I shook my head. It was guy but I couldn’t tell him.

“Is it Alan?” He asked. I looked at him weirdly. I shook my head. After going through a list of band guys, he finally gave up.

“I can’t think of anybody else and I know a lot of people.” He said. Someone in the crowd must of heard our conversation.

“Bro, maybe it’s you.” A guy in the crowd said. I snapped my head towards the guy and glared at him.

“Car..Yo, Austin. Come on.” I heard Phil shout. Austin looked at me then backstage. He stood up then walked away.

“You’ll thank me later, girl.” The guy said. I shook my head then stood up and headed backstage. I was going to wait back here then when August Burns Red went onstage then I was going into the crowd. I watch my boys put on a hell of a show from side stage. I hugged them all as they got off stage. Austin was the last one I hugged. He always was the last one. He grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the dressing room. I tugged on his hand.

“I’m going to go into the crowd for ABR. I’ll see you later, okay.” I said. He looked back at me and frowned but nodded anyways. I almost decided to forget going into the crowd but I wanted to go so badly.

“You did fucking awesome, Austin but you always do. “ I said hugging him before letting go and walking towards the stage again. I made it front row just in time for them to come on. I went hard watching them. I was smashed against the barricade but I loved it. My favorite song started playing, Internal Cannon. I went absolutely crazy when they played this. The show ended all too soon and my smiled faded when they all walked off stage then I remember that I was on this tour and I was going to be seeing them on stage every single night for this tour and I began to smile again. I looked at the side stage and saw Austin there. He looked around then frowned. I walked over to the guards and showed them my pass. They helped me over the barricade’s and I walked backstage. I walked into OM&M dressing room and saw Alan, Phil, Aaron, and Tino all lounging around.

Where’s Austin?” I asked.

“He went looking for you, Carmen. “ Alan said.

“I told him I was going into the crowd for August Burns Red.” I said.

“Can we talk?” I heard Austin say behind me. I turned around and saw him standing there. I nodded then he grabbed my hand, dragging me towards the door to lead outside. Screaming girls filled my ears. I ignored them as Austin let go of my hand and I walked onto the bus. An hour later, Austin came onto the bus. I was laying in his bunk because I was getting tired. He shouted my name.

“Back here.” I shouted back climbing out of the bunk. I jumped off the bunk and turned around. I felt someone grab my waist and pull me close to them. I looked up and saw Austin.

“Hey.” He said looking down at me, smiling.

“Hi.” I said then looked away.

“How was the concert, Carmen?” He asked. I smiled.

“It was amazing. I knew it was going to be amazing. I mean, they’re August Burns Red for crying out loud.” I said. He laughed.

“That’s good. Can I do something though?” He asked.

“Sure, what is it?” I asked.

He shook his head, “Nothing. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it though.”

He smiled then bent down and pressed his lips against mine into a soft kiss. My eyes instantly shut as he pulled me even closer to him. I wrap my arms around his neck. He pulled away from me.

“What was that?” I asked. He smiled then kissed me again.

“You like me, correct?” He asked. I debated on whether or not to tell him but I just nodded.

“Truth is, I’ve been secretly crushing on you. I was afraid to tell you because you might reject me. You know how I am with rejection, Carmen. I was just scared and I didn’t want to get my feelings…” I cut him off by kissing him. I pulled away.

“You’re adorable, you know. You just ramble on and on. It’s funny.” I said. He laughed then looked around then back at me. He kissed me again.

“Will you be my girlfriend?” He asked.

“Yes, I will.” I said. He kissed me harder this time, pressing me against the wall.

“About fucking time, man. God damn, it’s been a long ass time.” I heard Alan say. I broke away from Austin and saw Alan, Aaron, Phil, and Tino standing there.

“Fuck off, guys.” Austin said shoving them away. Austin stepped away from me and I climbed into his bunk. He followed. We cuddled together and soon I was drifting off to sleep. I finally have the guy of my dreams. Life was so good.
