The soft grass tickled my skin as I laid down and looked up at the night sky. Austin pulled me to him and idly twirled my hair through his fingers.

“I’m going to miss this…” I admitted breaking the silence that surrounded us.
Austin let out a chuckle, “Babe, I’m not going anywhere. What are you going to miss?”

“Warped Tour. And everyone on it…”

He kissed my forehead and absorbed what I had said letting the silence envelope us again.

“Are you really going to Costa Rica?” My question was barely audible but it had to be asked. Visions of him saying he was going to learn Spanish for his new Costa Rican girlfriend had been tormenting my mind for days.

He took a deep breath and let it out slowly, “…Yeah. But it’s just two weeks. My dad lives out there and I need some time to myself.”

I nodded my head getting lost in thought. That definitely put my plans at even more of a limbo.

“So, Vermont, huh?”

I rolled to look at him he had one of those smiles that I adored plastered on his face.

“Yeah?”

“Isn’t it cold there?”

“Yes.” I laughed. “And lots and lots of snow.”

“Ew.” He mocked me. “I hate that.”

“So you’re never going to come there with me?” I started to pout and bat my lashes.

“You want me to?” His eyes lit up and I could tell that he was happy I had said that. I knew to him that meant I wanted him to meet my family and see where I grew up.

“Of course.” I giggled.

“Well, not in the winter.”

“But it’s so pretty!”

“We’ll talk, Jones.”

I leaned down kissing him deeply.

“Hey,” He said pulling away. “My dad’s coming Thursday.”

“Oh yeah?” I shook my head at his randomness.

“Yeah, I want you to spend the day with us Carlile’s.”

July 23, 2012 – Hartford, Connecticut

“Rae, Rae…wakeup.”

“Hmmm?”

I rolled over and my eyes adjusted to see Austin’s face looming over me. I blinked a few times to focus and looked at him.

“We’re at Walmart. You wanna go in?”

I nodded sleepily stretching my arms over my head. I got up and dressed quickly and followed Austin and everyone else into Walmart. I was so excited to see they had a Dunkin’ Donuts.

“Ugh, it’s been so long since I’ve had Dunks.” I told the cashier as I took a sip from my iced coffee, which had been made perfectly. I took a seat at a table across from Austin and took my strawberry frosted doughnut out of the bag.

“Ever since I was little, these have been my favorite.” I told him ripping a bite off and plopping it into my mouth. “But I used to just eat the frosting off.”

“This isn’t even good.” Alan complained dropping his bacon, egg and cheese back into the bag.

“But it’s the east coast…and it’s home.” I smiled happily digging into my chocolate glazed doughnut.

“No, ew.” Alan said trying to eat his sandwich again. “Fuck this place.”

“You’re impossible.” I said with my mouth full and a roll of my eyes.

“You have no manners.” He retorted.

The guys went shopping for food and stuff they needed to stock up on. Fans ran up to them a few times and they happily met with them. I tried to spend as little money as possible considering I didn’t have that much to begin with.

After shopping the bus parked at a hotel. We had two rooms there for people to shower and relax. The local mall was in walking distance so everyone decided we would all meet up later and see a movie.

Austin grabbed one of the room keys and we snuck away from everyone. We were giddy knowing we had a day off to do nothing. We rode the elevator, kissing and laughing. We got off on a random floor and made our way down the hallway.

“The pool!” I exclaimed as we passed the huge windows. “Let’s go!”

“We don’t have bathing suits!” Austin argued with a laugh as we made our way into the room.

“So what?” I wiggled my eyebrows with a smirk lifting my shirt over my head.

“Raegan!” He said worriedly looking around.

“Oh calm down!” I said with a laugh dropping my shirt on a lounge chair and taking my shorts off. I gave him once last smile before walking over to the deep end of the pool and jumping in.

I came up the water sucking in a deep breath and pushing my hair back. Austin was standing with his hands on his head and look of worry splashed on his features, seeing him like that made me laugh.

“It’s not funny!” He said laughing too.

“Come on!” I said splashing him.

He shook his head at me and reached down pulling his own shirt off and revealing his heavily tattooed body to me. He dropped his pants next and I screamed, “Ow Ow!”causing him to blush as he jumped into the pool.

He surfaced next to me shaking the water out of his hair and smiling at me. “I can’t believe you got me to do this. You’re insane.”

We swam around and goofed off in the pool for a while before heading upstairs and showering. Then we headed over to the mall.

“Where the fuck have you two been?” Alan asked spotting us in the library.

“We’re going to the mall!” Austin said ignoring his question. ]

“Well fucking wait up for me!” Alan screamed chasing after us.

We got mobbed at the mall. It was so bad we had to call security it help us get to the theater on time to meet everyone for The Dark Knight Rises. Austin was practically jumping out of his skin with excitement for the movie which I found completely adorable.

We got dinner and retired on the bus that night playing video games and having nothing but fun.
