Iris’ pov
I woke up with a splitting headache. Did I really drink that much last night? I checked my phone and there were 4 missed calls from Austin, I decided to ignore them. I strolled down to the kitchen, my eyes where barely ajar when I bumped into someone. His scent was all to familiar…Austin.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, anger building up inside of me.
"I came to hang out with Vic and the guys last night. Vic said you were staying over at the hotel so he said it wouldn’t be a problem if I stayed the night."
I looked at him with a confused look on my face. I stalked past him to the kitchen to get some aspirin.
"We were meant to be staying over but the hotel messed the rooms up so we would of had to share a bed. I wasn’t really comfortable doing that so me and Tony went to a few bars and then came home."
"Oh, okay. Do you want me to make you some breakfast? I know you miss my cooking."
"What? Waking up from the smoke alarm going off every morning?"
"Hey, it wasn’t every morning." He said defending himself. I couldn’t help but laugh, laugh at his silliness but also how I can go from hating him to joking with him the way we used to.
Austin gave me the puppy dog eyes. I gave in and let him make my breakfast.
"So, what will it be madam?" He spoke in a posh waiter voice.
"Hmm, can I have the Austin special?"
"Coming right up." I sat on one of the stools in the kitchen admiring Austins body, he was only wearing his boxer briefs. God how i’ve missed that body. Wait, What? Why am I saying this?
"Where are all the guys? They’re usually up when they smell food." I laughed.
"They’re at the studio all day working on something that involves you." He said with a wink.
"Ooh okay."
Austin handed me my food and sat across from me eating his.
"I’ve missed this y’know. I’ve missed falling asleep next to you and waking up next to you. I’ve missed hanging out…i’ve missed you Austin." I don’t even know what I had just said. I told Tony I loved him now i’m telling Austin, my ex-boyfriend, that i’ve missed our times together.
"I’ve missed you to." He stopped eating and looked me dead in the eye. “I have thought about you every day since. I wake up during the night screaming, crying because I have nightmares that you’re never going to forgive me. Sounds pathetic, but I cry myself to sleep every night knowing I will never have you back. I’ve started drinking my sorrows away, going to parties doing drugs I have never even heard of an-" I cut him off before he could finish. “You haven’t left my mind either, it doesn’t sound pathetic that you cry yourself to sleep because I do. I miss you so much that I can’t help but cry. Why have you been taking drugs?" I said with pure concern to my voice. “I thought there is no point living if I don’t have you to live by my side." I got off the stool and went round to him and embraced him in a deep hug. I took in his smell, God how i’ve missed this. “I forgive you…" I whispered into his ear. He picked me up bridal style and took me to the room he was staying in. He sat me down on the bed and we just talked. I was starting to get really tired even though I had just woken up a little over 2 hours ago. We led down on the bed snuggled into each other and watched Finding Nemo. I ran my fingers over Austin’s tattoos which makes him feel sleepy. Before we new it we were falling into a deep sleep in each others arms, just like old times.
Tony’s pov
We came home from the studio at around 4pm. I scattered upstairs to see where Iris was. She wasn’t in her room so I checked the other rooms to see if she was in there. I barged into Austins room not bothering to knock and there she was cuddled into Austin’s arms. Tears were threatening to fall, she looked so adorable there cuddled into his arms. I have nothing against Austin it’s just that he cheated on her and now she is taking him back that easily. I grabbed Austins phone and ran down stairs. I tried loads of passwords and of course it was iris. I whent through his contacts to find Gielle’s number. He didn’t have it. What? Had he deleted it or something. I noticed another name Valentina (play boy) What I was doing was going to bite me back in the butt but right now I don’t really care, I just want Iris.
Hey girl, how are you? Are you busy tonight? I have nothing to do and I was wondering if you want to come round my house say 6pm? I think it’s time we did a bit of catching up. -Axx
Hey Austin, yeah i’d love to. I now have an excuse to get out of baby sitting, THANK YOU!! Yeah I think it is time we did a bit of catching up it’s been too long.-Vxx
I left it as that. I crept back upstairs and put Austin’s phone back where it was, God they sleep like babies.
An hour later they woke up both fully clothed. They said bye and Austin went back to his house.
"Hey Turtle. How was the studio?"
"Yeah, it was good. How was your day?"
"Meh, it wasn’t bad. Me and Austin watched a film and fell asleep."
You don’t say.
"What’s wrong Tonesie?"
"Nothing, why would something be wrong?"
"I’m not with Austin if that’s what you’re thinking."
"It didn’t look like that when you were in bed all over each other asleep with barely any clothes on." I said my voice slowly raise. I could the guys discretely going up to their rooms.
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me." I just gave her a blank look, she looked like she was about to cry.
"We were watching a film and he always cuddles me when we watch films, it’s just what we do."
"No, it’s just what people who have feelings for each other do. You told me you love me when I opened up to you."
"I know and i’m sorry about that"
"So you don’t love me?"
"I don’t know, i’m cofused. I know I still have strong feelings for Austin but I also have feelings for you."
"Get out. I don’t want to see you." I lied, I wanted to see her, I wanted to craddle her.
She ran out the house. Tears were now streaming down my face. What have I done? I’ve ruined everyhing now. I always fuck things up. I text Iris and ran to the bathroom and locked the door behind me. I rooted for my blades and started cutting. I saw dots and then blacked out.
Iris’ pov
I ran out the house having no where in mind where I was going. I found myself scrawling down my contacts to Austin’s number.
"Austin, can you pick me up?"
"Yeah sure. Whats wrong? Where are you?"
"I’ll explain later. I’m at the small park a couple of blocks away from their house." I heard him grab his keys and he put the phone down. I was about to lay my phone on the grass when I got a text from Tony.
There is no point calling Austin he has company tonight.
What did he mean by company? Austin came around the corner in his car going way over the speed limit. Why is he mad?
He pulled onto the car park and I acted oblivious to him turning up.
Austin’s pov
I have no idea what is going on between me and Ree she said she forgave me but it was really bad what I did to her. She has had an argument with Tony and I swear to God if he has hurt her I will end him. Ree means the world to me and I hate seeing her like this.
I sat down beside her snaking my arms around her waist. Neither of us said a word she just buried her head into my chest. I carried her back to my car and placed her in the passenger seat and took her home, my home, our home. I got there and someone was knocking on my door, I hadn’t the slightest clue who it was. I walked to the entrance of our house and it was Valentina.
"Austin, who is this?" Ree spoke between blubs.
"This…is…err..This is Valentina. What are you doing here Tina?" I asked knitting my eyebrows together.
"You told me to come round at 6pm remember? You text me like an hour ago saying we needed to catch up."
What? I never asked her to come here I hated her.
***FLASHBACK TO AUSTIN’S HIGH SCHOOL DAYS***
It was a monday, oh how I love mondays. I get beaten up even more because they couldn’t get me for two days. Valentina has bullied and put me down every day of high school and I am starting to get used to the beatings now.
She was with the football team after their practice and I just happened to be walking that way.
"Hey look it’s iccle baby Austin." She spoke in a baby tone.
"What do you want Valentina?"
"Nothing, I just wanted to see you get hurt." She walked away leaving me in the abandoned part of school with 25 muscley men, great.
I was thrown to the floor, kicked repetedly in the stomach and back. I was now pinned down which meant not being able to defend my vital organs. I heard someone scream my name and then I blacked out.
I woke up in hospital 8 hours later.
"Where am I?" I asked my head felt like it was going to exploade.
"A-Austin y-you’re awake." Alan was here but no one else. Not even my dad.
"Y-Yeah, urmm when can I go home? I hate hospitals."
"Not for a couple of weeks. You were really hurt Austin. In total they broke 26 bones and they fractured your skull. You nearly…urmm…never mind…" He trailed off.
"Spit it out Ashby."
"They had to give you open heart surgery. Your heart was going way above the normal heart rate and because of your Marfans Syndrome they got worried so they decided to check your heart. They found a few shards of your rib bones digging into the outer layer of your heart. I-I-I thought you were going to die." He spoke, a tear escaping his eye. I was friends with Alan but I didn’t think he really cared about me, no one does. I gestured for him to come closer and I embraced him into a bear hug before he quickly pulled away.
"You have to be careful. Your stitches are at high chance of coming undone so you have to watch what you do, okay?" Im not leaving your side Austin. Good job I was meant to be dropping out of school tomorrow eh? I can look after you now." He said with a smile.
We talked for a while, I forced one of the bitchey nurses to bring in another bed for Alan which they did. He refused to leave my side these next few weeks so I wasn’t going to let him sleep on one of them really uncomfortable chairs.
***END OF FLASHBACK***
Iris’ pov
I could see that Austin was getting really angry, he obviously really didn’t like her. Is this what Tony meant by him having company?
"Austin it’s okay, I know who did this." I looked at the floor because I knew he would be looking at me with an even angrier face.
"Who?" He snapped making me jump.
"…Tony…" I said in a quiet voice.
"Oh…okay. Tina go. Now!!" He ordered. She got back in her obviously rented car and drove out of Austins drive. I walked into the house, everything was exactly the same since I left. Everything was still in place, the food in the fridge had been untouched, plates from the night before I left where still piled next to the sink. He really couldn’t function since I left. The only thing different was the odd whiskey tumblers laying around, the house stank of well whiskey.
Austin hurried around the house tidying away the glasses and placing them in the kitchen before sitting next to me on the couch.
"So, do you want to tell me what your fight was about?"
"He got mad because he saw me and you asleep together."
"Why would he get mad over that?"
"When I came home I heard someone crying in the bathroom so I went in and it was Tony. He told me he loves me and I said I love him back-" “WHAT?" “Austin, please, here me out?" He nodded and gestured for me to carry on, so I did. “You see he self harms and he doesn’t know I know and I couldn’t just let him hurt himself because of me so I told him I loved him. When we got to the restaurant it was really awkward because all he did was flirt with me. When we finished the meal we went to check in at the hotel and they had a mix up with the rooms so me and Tony had to share a bed which I wasn’t comfortable with because it wouldn’t be the same without sleeping next to you." I mumbled the last part hoping he wouldn’t here.
He just nodded and told me everything was going to be okay.
We got a take out and ate whilst we watched The Princess & The Tramp, God I love this film. Doesn’t matter if you are higher than everyone else love is love and no one can control that.
I started to fall asleep so I got up of the couch and went upstairs. I heard the TV go off and he was slowly walking up behind me.
We got into his room.
"Where are you going?" I looked at Austin in confusion. He was in his boxer briefs and he was about to walk out the door.
"I thought you would of wanted me to sleep in the basement.." He trailed off. I laughed at him and pulled him into bed. I kissed him cheekily on the lips teasing him. “I love you" I said whilst blushing. He noticed. “I love you to Iris Cora Taylor." I knew he meant it because he said Iris Cora Taylor he never uses my full name. I smiled and let myself sleep.

I woke up to screaming and shouting coming from downstairs. I checked the time it was 8am. I groaned and got out of bed.
"Shut your mouth Iris is trying to get some sleep upstairs and I don’t want her to be woken up by some whore."
I could see through the gap in the banister that it was Gielle.
"Oh Austin, I know you don’t love her. She’s just some ugly girl with the personality of a brick that you hooked up with on tour."
"Excuse me?" I shouted at her, running down the stairs nearly falling over but Austin caught me.
"You heard me, bitch."
Austin was about to say something but I stepped in.
"I was never just someone he hooked up with, i’m not a slut unlike you, you STD ridden pig." I could here Austin chuckle at my words.
"Oh sweetie, did your mom never tell you not to say things like that to guests."
Austin could feel me tense up at the remark towards my mum. He tried to pull me away but I just pulled back.
"You’re not a guest you are an intruder." I started to walk away but I had to say something. “And no she never told me not to because she was killed by my father when I was 13 years old." Her mouth dropped, she was about to apologise but I slapped her around the face instead. I got up into her face. “That was for my mum."
With that I walked into the kitchen. I heard the door slam, guessing Gielle had gone. Austin came in he had a worried look on his face.
"Baby are you okay?"
I smiled and said yeah.
"Nice hit, she’s gonna have a mark on her cheek for a couple of days." He kissed my cheek. I got up and sat on the bar stool in the corner of the kitchen.
"Because my hand really hurts from slapping that bitch will you make breakfast." I pouted and he chuckled a yes.
Where things getting better between us? I hope so.
We sat down at the table and dug in. Oh how I have missed his cooking.
I got up and had a shower seen as I was going to the studio with Austin today to meet the rest of the guys again.
I got out of the shower, got dressed and applied some mascara. I have never been the type of girl to were loads. I called Austin up telling him I was finished using the bathroom. I called Tony I could sense something wasn’t right.
I rang 6 times and each time it went through to answer phone. I left a couple of voice mails and headed downstairs to wait for Austin.

"Finally! You take as long as a girl to get ready Carlile." We both laughed and got into the car.
"I can’t wait to see the guys again."
"They can’t wait to see you either. Every day I hear when can we see Iris."
We got out of the car and went into the studio. Alan ran up to me, picked me up and spun me around. Everyone laughed. I hugged the rest of the guys before they went to do there thing. I met Alan’s girlfriend Maddie. (A/N: I know they have split up now but seriously they were so cute together.) We fell into deep conversation about the guys quickly. I didn’t even know how long we were talking for but I knew it was getting late. We all headed into the band van and set off to Taco Bell.

We all ordered and pushed a few tables together so that where we all on the same table in a way. We talked and ate and talked some more before we all decided to call it a night. I was glad I met Maddie, I knew she would be someone I can talk to in the future about anything.
