Chapter 7
Austins pov
I got woken (it was 17:00pm) up from my phone ringing it was Gielle, I looked over at Iris to check she was still sleeping, she was so I discretely got out of bed and walked downstairs to the kitchen. "Please don’t leave Ree."
“Don’t call me that!" She snapped.
"Gielle just came round I never told her to. She lives on the other side of town, I wasn’t going to let her drive by herself in the dark. I told her to stay in the basement."
"I bet you did Austin." She said in a sarcastic tone.
She had grabbed all of her stuff and headed downstairs. She got to the bottom of the stairs and I rushed past her so that I was stood in front of her.
"Move Austin, Vics waiting."
Vic? Why was she staying with guys in Pierce The Veil ….and Tony. I didn’t know what to do so I connected my lips with hers, still having that same spark we had 6 months ago. She kissed back which made me smile into the kiss. She then puled away.
"No, I cant do this. You cheated on me Austin. I thought you would of known how that felt seen as the whore in our, I mean, your bed did that to you."
"Just let me go Austin, I need some time to think." She pleaded.
"Fine, can I come round to Vic’s later? I really want to talk to you."
"If you want but I wont be there. Tony’s taking me out for a meal to get all of this out of my head."
What? Tony? No this can’t be happening. She is going to leave me, forever, with him. Don’t get me wrong he is an amazing guy but he isn’t her guy, i’m her guy.
She walked out the front door and towards the car where Vic was waiting in the drivers seat. I stood in the doorway leaning against the wall, a tear fell down my left cheek. I looked up and she was looking at me, she mouthed ‘bye’ and got into the car. Vic gave me a wave and drove off presumably back to his house. The bye wasn’t a ‘see you later I love you’ kind of bye it was a ‘this is it for us’ kind of bye.
I clambered back inside, Gielle was sat on the stairs with one of my shirts on, the shirt Iris usually wears to fall sleep in.
"Why are you crying Austin."
"Because the girl I love has gone and probably going to be with someone else next week, someone who I am really good friends with."
"If you love her why did you invite me over?"
"I never invited you over, I never do. You just show up unexpectedly."
"Why did you ring me again when you put the phone down then?"
"To tell you why I put the phone down but you wouldn’t let me get a word in edge ways."
"I think you should leave, don’t go home in my clothes, go home in your own."
I went into the basement and locked the door. This couldn’t be happening. I saw a bottle of whiskey and grabbed it off the side. Before I knew it I was passed out on the small sofa. I know it’s wrong drinking away my sorrows but it’s the only thing I can bring myself to do right now, that and cry.
