I woke up in pain from lying on my cuts, fuck they hurt. Austin wasn’t in the room so I decided to make my way downstairs quietly. He was on the phone to someone.
"I love you to babe."
"Don’t worry she won’t find out, I promise"
What the fuck?
"Won’t find out what Austin?"
"I-I-Iris, I-I thought you were asleep."
"Were." Is he being serious right now?
"Who were you on the phone to? What won’t she find out?"
"Look Ree i’m really sorry please don’t leave."
"I want to know what you have done Austin." I demanded.
"…I think you should sit down." He spoke barely audible.
"I don’t want to sit. Just tell me, now."
"I-I-I’ve been seeing..urm..I’ve been seeing Gielle. P-please don’t get mad. It’s not what it sounds like."
"It’s not what it sounds like? Are you kidding me? You have just been saying that you loved her. How long has this been going on."
"….Since we got back from warped…"
"WHAT? YOU HAVE BEEN GOING BEHIND MY BACK SEEING HER FOR WHAT 4 MONTHS NOW? 4 FUCKING MONTHS AUSTIN. WHERE YOU EVER GOING TO TELL ME?. I’m going, I can’t be here."
I ran upstairs through on some clothes, tied my hair back not bothering with make up and got my suitcase out of the closet and packed most of my belongings.
"I’ll be back for the rest of my stuff later."
With that I left the house. I couldn’t look at him, I new he was crying. It was his fault, he shouldn’t of been fucking another girl especially her.
I walked half way down the street, seen as I don’t have a drivers permit in America, and rang up Vic from Pierce The Veil.
"Hey Vic, are you busy right now?"
"Hey Ree, no why?"
"I’ve had an argument with Austin and I think it’s over for good and-"
"Of course you can stay at mine."
"Are you sure? I don’t want to get in the way or anything."
"It’s okay, you can stay as long as you want. That’s what friends are for."
"Thanks, is it possible for you to c-"
"Yes i’ll come and pick you up, where are you?"
"I’m down the road from Austins"
"I’ll be there in 10."
Vic hung up so I sat at the side of the road hiding behind cars when I saw Austins car driving past, I don’t get why he wouldn’t just walk. I couldn’t really get far without a car could I?
Vic turned up in no time and we drove straight to his.
"Do you want me to get the rest of your stuff?"
"No it’s okay, i’ll go tomorrow, I need to speak to him sometime."
I got into Vic’s house, the smell of tacos filling the air. I walked into the kitchen and Mama Fuentes and Mike were cooking dinner.
"REEEEEE" Mike picked me up and spun me round.
"Hey Mickey!!"
Mike put me down and I said hi to Mama Fuentes.
"Ree, i’ll show you where you’ll be staying, follow me."
I followed Vic up stairs to the 3rd door on the right.
"Thanks for letting me stay Vic"
"No problem."
I ditched my bags in the room and headed back downstairs.
"DINNERS READY" Mike shouted.
Next thing I new Tony and Jaime appeared I forgot they live here to.
"HEY REE."
"REE SANDWICH." Tony shouted to Jaime embracing me into a ‘Ree sandwich.’
We all grabbed a few tacos and said bye to Mama Fuentes and went into the living room to watch some football.
I am glad that I came here, I feel a lot more welcome here than when I was living at Austins.
It was getting late so me and Tony decided to head upstairs. I couldn’t sleep my head was all over the place. Why would he cheat on me? I new he never meant it when he said he loved me, I new he only said it because he felt sorry for me.
Tony stammered in rubbing is eyes.
"Hey Ree, I can’t sleep. can I stay with you tonight?"
"Of course you can Tonsie."
Tony clambered into bed and I fell asleep in his arms. It felt weird, cuddling up to someone else apart from Austin but at the same time it felt right, I felt like I belonged there like I did when I first cuddled up to Austin. Did I have feelings for Tony? No Iris that’s ridiculous. My emotions were flying so I let it go and fell asleep next to Tony.
