Austin's POV

I stared at the comment that I just posted to Tino's picture while everyone yelled at the tv around me. She was just as beautiful as the last time I saw her. Her blonde hair flowed perfectly around her face that held her bright blue eyes and over her shoulders that were covered by the Steelers jersey that she wore. She was absolutely gorgeous. My thoughts were interrupted when a different picture of her took over the screen on my iPhone. It was her with her tattooed arms wrapped tightly around my dog Boomer, smiling like crazy. She was calling me.

"Hello?"

"Hey. I need to talk to you.." She mumbled. I could picture her picking at her nails nervously.

"Yeah? Sorry I can't hear you hold on!" I shouted even though I heard her small voice perfectly. My feet carried me through Maddie and Alan's apartment until I was outside on the balcony. "Sorry my girlfriend is having a Super Bowl party. Who is this again?" the lie came out if my mouth before I even knew what I was doing.

Lilly was silent on the other end before the line went dead. I shoved my phone back into my pocket before hitting the balcony railing. Why couldn't I just tell the truth? I didn't have a girlfriend, Gielle and I had been divorced for almost a year and a half, what was wrong with me? I lost her again.

Lillian's POV

"Lilly Lilly Lilly!" Someone screamed as they jumped up and down on the bed.

"Shay it's Monday I'm off today what do you want?" I groaned and pushed him down onto the bed again.

"Yeah but you promised you would come to one practice with me and I want you to come to this one because I'm showing the guys the song I sang to you two weeks ago." He stuck out his bottom lip and gave me the biggest puppy dog eyes I have ever seen.

So it's been two weeks since the Super Bowl. Meaning it's been two weeks since Austin commented on Tino's picture on instagram. Tino and I started talking a lot, he's one of my good friends now, even after just two weeks. He told me that Austin still hasn't said a word about me to anyone, including Shayley. Maybe Austin didn't realize it was me.

"Shay, I'll go another time." I objected trying to roll over onto my stomach.

"No!" He objected while he straddled me and pinned my shoulders down gently. I smiled up at him, wondering how I got lucky enough to have Shayley to the past year and a half.

"I can't go if you don't let me shower." I grinned.

"You're right, but we haven't got much time before we need to leave." He said getting off of the bed. I got up too and stretched out my body. "What do you say to showering together" he smirked and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"I say that's a great idea."

I stood on my tippy toes and pressed my lips against his while he picked me up by my waist. I pulled my tank top over my head and threw it to the side as he walked. Shayley placed me on the counter and kissed me forcefully while my fingers tugged the edge of his sweats down. He reached over to the shower and turned it on before slipping his now wet hand below my panties and pulling them down. My arms went around his neck as he picked me up and carried me into the shower. Shayley's lips latched onto my neck and I let out a low moan. He pushed me against the shower wall and I let my feet hit the bottom of the tub.

"Shay..." I whimpered as he rubbed over my clit.

"Hmm?" I felt his smirk against the skin on my chest.

"Don't tease me baby." I groaned.

"I don't know what you mean." his chest rumbled with laughter after he spoke.

My hand reached down and I pushed him into me, making us both groan.

I wiped my sweaty palms on my jeans as we pulled up to the same house I ran from two years ago.

"Hey, don't be nervous. The other two guys are gonna love you." Shayley smiled as we walked up the path to the house. I slid my hand into his and squeezed. He had no idea of why I was nervous and I wanted it to stay that way. When we got to the front door my hand automatically reached for the doorbell that was hidden behind the mailbox. Shay gave me a look as if he was asking how I knew where it was. I shrugged before turning back to the door.

"Shay! What's goin on!" a familiar red headed man smiled as he opened the door. "And you must be....Lilly" my name came out of his mouth as a whisper.

"Hey. Nice to meet you." I smiled and made a face so he knew to act like he didn't know me.

"Yeah nice to meet you. Austin's in the kitchen." Alan moved aside so we could go into the house. The entire place looked different, like it was more of a bachelor pad then a married couples home. The living room walls were lined with guitars and amps rather then the several decorative plants and sculptures that Gielle had.

"Oh Austiiiiin!" Shay yelled as we made our way towards the kitchen.

"Shaykokomo!" I heard him giggle from the kitchen. My heart sped as we got closer to the doorway and when I saw Austin standing at the kitchen aisle, smiling with a mouthful of food, I swear it almost stopped. "And this must be the pretty little lady you talk about all the time."

He was acting like he didn't even know who I was. I didn't know whether to be thankful or to start crying where I stood.

"L-Lilly. My name is Lilly." I smiled and held my hand out for him to shake.

"Austin." he looked down at the heart band that went around my left ring finger. "Thats a really pretty ring."

"Thanks. Someone I used to know gave it to me." his smile faltered a bit but soon returned. This was going to be one hell of a day.

"Baaaabe get in the pool!" Shayley screamed. I stood as far from the water as I could possibly get without being inside the house.

"No, I have to pee..." I said inching towards the sliding glass door. "I'll come in after."

"Oh, I'll show you where the bathroom is really quick." Austin pushed himself up and out of the pool before drying his body off with a towel. I mentally slapped myself. I wasn't supposed to know where anything in his house was. We walked silently through the house for a few seconds before he spoke again. "I miss you Lilly." he whispered.

"Where's Gielle?" There you go Lillian, shut him out.

"We're not together anymore. It's been over a year. She cheated on me."

"You cheated on her." I pointed out. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to use the bathroom."

I shut the door behind me and pressed my back against it, sliding down to the ground.

"I'm not losing you. I need you Lilly" I heard him whisper. I rested my head against my knees and listened to him speak. "I meant it when I said I loved you all those years ago. You're the only thing that makes me feel okay. You make me whole, Lilly. God, I missed you so much and now that you're back, I- shit Lil, I don't know whether to scream and cry or kiss you. But I can't do anything. We're pretending we don't even know each other. The day you left has been on repeat in my head everyday."

I moved myself so I was no longer blocking the door and pulled it open quickly. Austin was leaning against the wall next to the door with his head in his hands.

"Austin" I choked out and wiped a stray tear from my cheek.

"Lilly don't cry." he whispered and pulled me into his arms and onto his lap. I wrapped my arms around his torso and shoved my head into the crook of his neck. "It's okay don't cry."

"I love you Aust. I do, but Shayl-"

"Shhh. I know, Lilly I know." He mumbled into my hair. "You never once asked me to leave Gielle, I'll never ask you to leave Shay. I just want my best friend back."

"I want mine back too." I looked up into his deep brown eyes and smiled before pressing my lips to his cheek.

"So are you two good now or?..." Alan's voice came from behind me, causing me to jump about ten feet into the air.

"Jesus Alan!" I shrieked.

"Hey, just be glad it was me and not Shay, who is questioning what's taking you two so long by the way."

"Tell him we're playing with Boomer." I respond and practically run to the guest room where the boxer mix usually stays. He growled when I walked in but after realizing who I was, he jumped up and ran over to me. I kneeled down in front of him and he licked my face over and over while I giggled. "Come on sonic boom! Let's go swimming!" I shouted and took off to the pool with Austin and Boomer in tow. When I got downstairs I threw the glass door open and ran straight into the clear blue water that Shay, Phil, and Tino were swimming around in. Boomer jumped in right after. "Sonic boom likes to swim!" I laughed and kissed Shayleys lips gently.

"Sonic boom?" he laughed.

"Yeah Boomer is a dumb name." I smiled at Austin over Shay's shoulder. I'd been calling Boomer Sonic Boom for years. "So when do you guys actually practice?"

"When it gets dark usually." Phil answered.

"Yeah, then it's not so hot in the basement." Tino added.

"That's also dumb." I remarked.

My eyes stayed on Austin for the rest of the night. I was happy just to be speaking to him again, even if we had to act like we were strangers. We were going to get to be normal again, and thats one thing I can't wait for.
