I woke up before Alan did. His arms were still wrapped around my waist. I tried to unlatch his arms, but he just tightened them. I let out an exasperated sigh. I just wanted something to eat! I turned over and looked at Alan's sleeping face. He looked so peaceful. I almost didn't want to wake him up. I reached my hand up to poke his face. He swatted my hand away.
"Alan wake up." I whispered into his ear and poked his cheek again.
"5 more minutes, mom!" He groaned.
I stifled a giggle. His eyes opened slightly. I smiled super wide at him.
"Good morning!" I said cheerfully.
"It's anything but good." He replied sleepily.
"Hungover?" I asked.
"Yup."
He untangled his arms from me. I climbed out of his bunk. I quietly walked out into the front lounge and Austin was sitting on the couch eating Cheerios.
"Hey." He welcomed, "I didn't know you slept over."
"Alan didn't want to be alone last night." I told him.
"Oh, did anything happen." He said raising his eyebrows suggestively.
"Hell no!" Alan yelled walking out of the bunk area without a shirt.
"Okay." He said raising his hands in defense.
"Alan pulled a two bowls down and poured some cereal inside. I handed him the milk and he poured it onto the cereal. He handed me a bowl and sat down.
"Thanks." I muttered sitting by Alan.
"So, what are you going to do with your day off." Austin asked.
"I don't know." I shrugged.
"Okay, I'm gonna go get dressed." Austin called as he walked off.
After he left Alan looked at me thoughtfully.
"Ellis will you go on a date with me." he asked nervously.
Honestly I was shocked. Did he just ask me on a date! Oh, my god, what do I say?
"Um...yes." I answered nervously.
A smile appeared on his face.
"I should go and get dressed." I said.
"Okay."
I put down my empty bowl and left. I walked back to my bus and opened the door. Nobody was awake yet. I tiptoed into my bunk and grabbed a white tank-top and a black skirt. I quietly went into the bathroom to change. On my way out of the bus I grabbed my all black Converse. I was so nervous. Alan saw me and waved excitedly. I waved back nervously. When I got to him he threw his arm around my shoulder.
"So, where are we going?" I asked
"It's a surprise."
