I was in my car driving to the venue. I needed to tell Ellis that I'm sorry. I looked at the time. Thirty minutes till our set time. I had to hurry. I pulled into the bus parking lot and hopped out of the car. I began my walk to our bus. On the way there I bumped into Alan. A deep purple bruise had formed on his eye, reminding me what I did the night before.
"Hey, I'm sorry about last night." I apologised.
"Yeah, sure." he answered doubtfully.
"I'm serious. I'm really sorry. I overreacted, big time." I tried again.
"You shouldn't have ran away." He told me.
"I know." I answered, my voice full of regret.
"Elli was worried sick about you." His voice got louder.
"Really" I said in disbelief.
"Yes, and the worst part is she blames herself for you running away." He was yelling by now.
"Oh my god." I was shocked.
She blames herself for my mistakes.
"Tell her I want to talk to her after her shift." I told him before walking off.
I walked onto the bus, it was empty. They must be getting ready for the how. I left the bus and made my way to the stage area. I saw Justin and waved awkwardly. He ran up to me and bear hugged me. almost knocking me over in the process.
"We were looking everywhere for you!" He yelled at me after he had finished hugging me to death.
"I know." I admitted.
"Where were you."
"My house."
"Why did you run away to your house?"
"It's a long story."
"I have time."
"Fine! Matty saw Alan carrying El into their bus and he told me. I overreacted and may have beat up Alan." I explained.
"What!" He yelled.
"You heard me!" I yelled back.
"Sleeping with Sirens is on in 5 minutes." One of the crew members yelled.
"We should head for stage." I mentioned.
"Okay. Fine."
We headed for the stage. Gabe went out first, then Justin,Jesse,and Jack. I ran out onto the stage and began our first song.
*****After the show*****
I headed off the stage and to the bus. I had to wait for Elli to show up so we can fix this.
I sat down on the couch to relax when Matty called me. I pressed answer and held the phone to my ear.
"Hey, have you talked to Elli?" He asked.
"No, not yet." I told him.
"Well, you know we have tomorrow off."
"Yeah."
"There's going to be a cookout type thing tonight. Will you help me set up?" He pleaded.
"Hmmm." I thought, "Sure"
Ellis walked in.
"Hey, I'll call you back later." I told Matty and hung up.
We sat in silence for several minutes.
"Well, you wanted to talk, talk away." she shattered the silence.
"I'm sorry about yesterday." I started, "I was being irrational and overprotective. I just don't want you to get hurt again."
"I can handle myself. I'm an adult." she told me, "And I'm sorry too. I overreacted."
"I forgive you." I finished.
"I forgive you too."
I stood up and pulled her in for a bear hug. She hugged me back tightly.
We pulled apart and sat down.
"So, how was your first day of work?" I asked.
"Great!" She answered, "How is Copeland?"
"Great. I'm bringing her to the san Fran. show." I replied happily.
"I can't wait to see her again!" She told me happily, "Is is okay if I go change."
"Yeah."
She jumped up and went to the bunk area. I got a text from Matty telling me to the grilling station.
I left Elli a note and went off to find Matty.
