We reached Tescos and headed towards the ice cream aisle.
"What ice cream do you want?" I asked, not wanting to buy ice cream everyone else disliked.

"Anything really but no cookie dough or nuts really." He said, inspecting the different ice creams.

"No cookie dough? Why?"

"I don't like it that much..."

"I don't understand! How can you no like cookie dough?"

"It's just like so boring. Like its just vanilla."

"Ok then, I'll make it interesting. Go and find what alcohol you want and I will meet you by the checkout in 5 mins. Ok?"

"Suppose so... I'm worried about your plan though..." He said as he walked off.

And so he should have been! Seriously though, Ben & Jerrys Cookie Dough Ice Cream was literally my life! How could you not like it?

Needless to say, I grabbed some.

I also put some other Ben & Jerrys flavours into the basket, along with a mixture of more average flavours.

I then went to wait for Alan, who appeared literally 30 seconds after me. Pushing a trolley which seemed pretty full of beer and monster.

"You're an alcoholic Ashby." I teased.

"I am not! It's the others who are - dammit they drink hard!" He immediately defended himself.

"Ok well, we get this and then head back to the bus so I can see for myself."

So we paid the shockingly higher than realised price. We split the bill here, I got the ice cream whilst Alan got the drinks.

We left the shop, loaded with carrier bags, and headed back towards the bus. We talked the whole way back, just about random stuff.

He asked me about my ice cream plan, but I refused to tell him. So instead we swapped onto music and films we liked - it turned out we had a lot in common.

Eventually, we made it back. The rest of the band we glad to see us, but probably just because we had their food.

"Well done guys! You have finally returned!" Austin exclaimed as we boarded the bus, "After so heartlessly leaving us and failing to phone us for like forever. We now know where we are on your priority list Alan!"

"I'm sorry but c'mon! I found food! Like there were all the American sweets and I bought loads. And then we got the alcohol and ice cream. I even remembered your Monster as an apology present to you."

"Oh thanks man. You know I love you really." Austin replied whilst hugging Alan.

We then dumped the bags in the kitchen area of the bus. Alan proceeded to sort out drinks for everyone whilst I began my ice cream plan.

My idea was to have loads of different flavours mixed together, like a scoop of each, but then get all the cookie dough chunks and mix them in too. Hence, proving the superiority of the cookie dough chunks to Alan.

I was going to get messy.

I was finding bowls to use, but i could only find 4.

"Alan. I can only find four bowls."

"Yeah coz we broke one so had to bin it and as usually there is only four of us here it didn't matter."

"Well someone is going to have to go without ice cream then."

"Nah, don't sweat it. Me and you can share a bowl. Just put extra in." He suggested.

"Oh um ok then."

So I prepared the bowls of ice cream and stuck the remaining stuff in the freezer.

Then I carried all the bowls into the back lounge, where everyone was sitting, waiting for me with the title sequence of the movie on pause.

I handed out the bowls and of ice cream and squished of the settee next to Alan - since we were sharing the ice cream.

Austin was on Alan's other side with Phil and Tino on the other side.

Phil clicked play on the film but seemed more interesting in the food, same for Tino.

However the other two and I were a lot more interesting in the film, though we were by no means ignoring the ice cream.

"Hey," Alan said, having eaten some ice cream himself, "why is this strawberry ice cream with cookie dough?"

"Because cookie dough is superior to everything!" I retaliated.

"Seriously? You mixed all the flavours together, just so you could prove a point to me about cookie dough?" He asked surprised.

"I take my cookie dough seriously Ashby!"
